Search engine optimization or SEO is the practice of trying to improve the number of relevant visitors to your web site through organic (or natural) search results. Search engines account for more than 60% of the traffic on the internet and still remain the most common way people find things on the internet.

How do Search Engines Rank Sites?

How search engines rank web pages is largely based on the function of two different things, relevance and reputation. Relevance is how related your web page is to the keyword phrase being searched. Relevance is addressed in our first phase of the SEO process. Reputation is how search engines measure your site's link popularity. The more links into your site, from other relevant web sites, the higher the PageRank of your site. Reputation is addressed in the final phase of the SEO process.

We begin search engine optimization with a through review and assessment of your web site as well as your top 3 competitors in order to determine your PageRank and the keyword, phrases and industry terms used to describe the products and services you sell. Once the keywords have been selected, we complete an analysis using live search requests to find out how many times those keywords were searched. We then give you a page-by-page breakdown report of our optimization suggestions and work with you to implement the necessary changes to improve your PageRank and listing in the search engines. Your new optimized pages will then be submitted to the directories and search engines. A follow-up status report will be given 2 months after optimization to show results.

What search engines do we submit to first?

With SEO, we recommend submitting with the free search engines first and then evaluating your results once your site has been listed. A lot of search engines still do offer free listings, but it does take a lot longer to get listed (4-6 weeks).
